Dart etiquette

Good sportsmanship starts with learning how to lose. Whether you win or lose, it’s about taking your opponent’s hand and wishing them well in their next match. If the other player bested you, live with it. You’ll not only get a reputation for being a good sport, but it’ll help you stay relaxed and throw better.

Respect is perhaps the single most important value to promote in sports. In the same way that we exercise our bodies during training, we should strive to exercise respect with the same intensity.

We must behave with respect towards our opponents, teammates, coaches, judges, venue staff, and most importantly the spectators.

Remember our objective is to to encourage the playing of Competition Darts
and to promote, preserve and foster good fellowship and friendship amongst all players.

RULES OF PLAY

merry Christmas and happy new year

On behalf of the Committee of HDDA we wish all our Members a Merry and Safe Christmas season.

If you are travelling anywhere, watch out for the idiots on the road, holiday time they increase 10 fold.

Look forward to seeing everyone back on the board from 9th January, I know our Captains have been collecting your presentation money and will be right to purchase tickets from that night onwards

Morning Members 10am Thursday 28th November 2024
Please find the following information re our presentation night for the 2024 season
This gives plenty of notice to ask your players if they wish to attend and to start collecting their $30.
Persons under 18 are not permitted to attend.
Date- Saturday 5th April 2025
Venue - Wallsend Diggers Club. Parking across the road.
Time- Doors open 5pm. Meal served at 6pm
Meal - Mains and dessert, roast beef or chicken with vegetables. Desserts - sticky date pudding with butterscotch sauce or pavlova
Raffle- As usual we will be holding a raffle with dart related and some cash prizes.
Lucky door prize-- All who attend will be in the draw for a quality door prize, no it's not a toilet door.
Band - tba -- dancing from 8-11
Cost - $30 per ticket, There are 230 tickets for sale, 1st in best dressed. The table set up is round tables of 10. If you have more than 10 people we will try our hardest to sit you as close as possible to each other. After the meal is finished you are free to sit where ever you like.
Theme - Black and White, nice and easy and lots of options.
We will need to know a minimum of 2 weeks before of any food requirements/allergies so we can advise the chef and they will make changes to suit as best they can.
We will also need to know how many people have walkers, scooters or mobility aids as we have to allow for this in the set up and to arrange seats accordingly.
